µTorrent Web UI for iPhone – new version is available (1.3)
First of all, I wish to express my gratitude to all those who have commented on this product and/or sent me several emails regarding new features and ideas. In addition I am very thankful and grateful to all those generous donations from you. Thank you for your support and encouragement. I appreciate it a lot.
Wish you all great holidays and a Happy New Year 2010 ! Have a year full of new and wonderful experiences.
I’ve just released a new and improved version of my µTorrent Web UI for iPhone.
So, what’s new in this version ?
Automatic version check
You do not need to leave this app in order to check for latest updates. Not anymore. The version check is performed automatically and you will get notified.
Preferences
Two more additions to the Preferences screen:
Scheduler: Allows you to enable/disable the scheduler in the uTorrent client.
Sorting: Now you can configure how to sort your torrents (by Title/ ID in Queue/ Size).
Add Torrent
You can easily add new torrents to download by clicking on Add Torrent button.
In my opinion the best and simple way to do this is by copying link of torrent file to clipboard and then come to this app and use the Paste feature to insert it into the Torrent Url field. Click on the Add Torrent to add it.
Buttons are more responsive now and easier to touch.
Enjoy !

so how do i use this? it looks like a clean iphone app, so how do you use it? nowhere on your blog does it tell you how to use it. how bout a step by step install and iphone manual? i can access utorrent via the webui, but not yours. i can get your program to install fine in windows, so i know things are working correctly, but how do you use it?
http://pinhasov.com/blog/2009/10/utorrent-web-ui-for-iphone/
at that webpage, there are no instructions on how to use it for the iphone, how do you set it up on the iphone side?
Larry, You’re right. It is there but not displayed. I’ve updated the original post with more details.
And Larry, this is a web app for iPhone/iPod Touch but it has the same look & feel of native one. No need to install anything on your device. Thanks.
I’m currently having problems with the latest uTorrent release 2.0 (build 17920).
The UI all loads up as it should (although files seems a little broken).
But more importantly, the remove/pause/etc buttons don’t’ actually perform the action.
Does anyone else have the same problem with 1.3 and the build of uTorrent I’m speaking of?
Thanks
ND
The new version 2.0 of uTorrent was released just today. I will install it and make sure the web app works with it. If necessary I will release a new updated version.
